July 23 events of the past



July 23, 1903 FORD Motor Company Sells it's first CAR the MODEL A. Its first owner is Dr. Ernst Pfenning of Chicago, Illinois. It was sold for US$ 750 (roughly equivalent to $18100 today)

July 23, 1942
The Treblinka Execution Camp was opened. Treblinka II was designed purely for the extermination of people: its killing area measuring 600 by 400 metres (1968' x 1312'). It was one of five secret camps of Operation Reinhard. Kulmhof  extermination camp was built first.
